Dr. Najeeb Ahmed
After completing his cardiology fellowship in 2008, Dr. Najeeb joined Springfield Cardiology. In order to provide comprehensive cardiac care to his patients he wanted to gain expertise in performing cardiac interventions and entered into an interventional fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2009. He completed this fellowship in June 2010 at which time he returned to our practice as a full time interventional cardiologist. Dr. Najeeb is board certified in Interventioal Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed
Dr. Ash is a Springfield, OH native and a graduate of Catholic Central High School. He has strong ties to Springfield and supports our local community. He received his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. After completing his Internal Medicine residency and a training program in Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography in New York, he returned to Springfield to reside and practice medicine. Dr. Ash is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology, and testamur by the National Board of Echocardiography.
Dr. Tajuddin Ahmed
Dr. Tajuddin Ahmed, called Dr. Taj by his patients, started practice in 1973 and was Springfield’s first cardiologist. Dr. Taj founded the Heart House in 1987. Springfield Cardiology was formed in 2003, when Dr. Taj joined his son, Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed. Dr. Taj received his fellowship in cardiology from the University of Kentucky . Dr. Taj is board certified in cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
